How big are the bins?
The Bins come with 4 bins with lids and then a tray to hold them together. The dimensions of the bins are below:
Dimensions of bins: 48in. wide, 15in. deep, 36in. tall
Shoe Bin: 15 x 15x 36
Apparel Bin: 12x 15 x 36
Sock Bin: 12 x15 x36
Nutrition Bin: 9x 15 x 36
How do you manage smells from used shoes and from empty nutrition packets?
Please do what works best for your store to manage any odors or odor concerns. The lids on the bins will help curb this potential issue but please feel free to keep any shoes that cause issues in the cardboard Sneaker Impact return boxes in the back of your store. Nutrition wrappers should be fully clear of any contents when they enter the bins but please feel free to wipe the bins between shipping contents and to ship at a frequency that works best for you. Apparel and socks should not be of concern since no soiled items should be placed into the bins.
What can be put into the Better Bins?
Allowed Footwear: Footwear including athletic shoes and hiking boots, insoles, sock-liners, & arch supports.
Not Allowed: Does not accept sandals, dress shoes, kids’ shoes, heels, soccer or other athletic spikes, winter or ski boots
Allowed Nutrition: Any single serving sports nutrition wrappers (Gels, Chews, Waffles, Drinks) from any brand.
Not allowed Nutrition: Non-sports nutrition wrappers (chips, cookies, etc.)- plastic tubes/jugs like Nuun Tabs or GU Roctane Drink *Do not need to be cleaned before dropping them off, but it’s always helpful if they are fully empty of food.
Allowed clothing/socks: Cotton, polyester or cotton/poly blended shirts and socks.
Not Allowed: Dirty items or items with zippers, buttons, elastic, etc.
How do I send back nutrition wrappers?
Through your account with Terracycle, go to your profile and then click the “Get shipping label” button to have a label sent directly to your profile email. Once you receive the email, download and print the shipping label within 14 days. Place the nutrition wrappers in a box no larger than 18x18x18” with the shipping label adhered and drop off at your local UPS location.
How do I send back clothing and socks?
To ship clothing back to Recover, please ensure your account with Recover is active by having your first order placed within the first 3 months of receiving the bins and ensuring you meet order requirements. You may place both clothing and socks into a box and then email support@recoverbrands.com with your store's address, the estimated weight of your package and the dimensions of your box.
How do I send back shoes?
Sneaker Impact will ship you boxes with prepaid shipping labels. Send back the shoes once you have enough shoes to fill a box. When you are starting to get low on boxes, Sneaker Impact will automatically mail you more.
Are there liners for the bins?
The LIA will not be providing liners for the bins. Using a little materials to maintain the bins helps ensure we are not creating more waste sources to keep out of production and into the landfills. The transparent component of the Better Bins is essential in creating awareness and curiosity to help facilitate the utilization of the bins.
