what does it mean to be a member?

Official Low Impact Alliances members are legally bound to act on their membership in various ways. Likewise, Low Impact Alliance also commits to obligations that honor the partnership. Read more below.

MEMBERSHIP OBLIGATIONS

 

  • Use their social media platforms to announce their partnership with the Low Impact Alliance.

  • Provide transparent information regarding partner’s current sustainability initiatives and future goals for reducing their carbon footprint through changes to production processes, materials used, packaging, shipping practices, etc. All information to be shared on the Low Impact Alliance website.

  • Assign a point person, who will regularly attend weekly LIA meetings and help facilitate communication between the partner and the Low Impact Alliance. This person should effectively represent the brand partner and encourage openness and willingness to collaborate with other Low Impact Alliance partners to find solutions for impactful change within the run specialty industry.

  • Deploy marketing and social campaigns educating both retailers and consumers on the impact the run specialty industry has on the planet and what the partner is doing to make a difference.

  • Collaborate with retailers to host and promote community events (i.e., trash cleanups, shoe donations, charity drives, etc.) that help bring awareness to the impacts individuals can make in their local environment.

LIA OBLIGATIONS

 

  • Promote transparency and environmental responsibility within the running industry by educating, advocating, and inspiring action for impactful change.

  • List all of partner’s current sustainability initiatives and future goals for reducing their carbon footprint through changes to production processes, materials used, packaging, shipping practices, etc. on the Low Impact Alliance website.

  • Deploy marketing and social campaigns educating both retailers and consumers on the impact the run specialty industry has on the planet and share inspiring information as to what partner is doing to make a difference
